Bambu Lab vs Creality vs Snapmaker: Which 3D Printer Should You Buy?
We carry printers from all three brands. Here's one representative model from each, compared on what actually matters: build volume, multicolor printing, speed and price.
Bambu Lab A1 — the established all-rounder
The Bambu Lab A1 has a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, a 300°C hot end and 100°C bed, with an AMS Lite combo option for up to 4-color printing. It's rated for 500 mm/s max speed and 10,000 mm/s² acceleration. It starts at 2,700 SAR standalone, or 3,400 SAR as a combo, and is currently out of stock (ask us on WhatsApp for the next arrival).
Creality SparkX i7 — the budget-friendly newcomer
The Creality SparkX i7 is a close match on paper: 260 x 260 x 255 mm build volume, the same 300°C hot end and 100°C bed ratings, and CFS Lite support for up to 4 filaments. It's priced at 2,090 SAR and is currently a pre-order item.
Snapmaker U1 — four independent toolheads
The Snapmaker U1 takes a different approach to multicolor: instead of an AMS-style filament swap, it uses 4 independent toolheads via its SnapSwap system, which generally means faster color changes with less waste. It has the largest build volume of the three (270 x 270 x 270 mm) and the highest acceleration rating (20,000 mm/s²). At 5,550 SAR it's priced well above the other two, and it is currently in stock.
| Printer | Build volume | Multicolor | Price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bambu Lab A1 | 256 x 256 x 256 mm | AMS Lite, up to 4 colors (combo) | 2,700 SAR standalone / 3,400 SAR combo | Out of stock |
| Creality SparkX i7 | 260 x 260 x 255 mm | CFS Lite, up to 4 filaments | 2,090 SAR | Pre-order |
| Snapmaker U1 | 270 x 270 x 270 mm | 4 independent toolheads (SnapSwap) | 5,550 SAR | In stock |
Which one should you buy?
If budget comes first, the SparkX i7 is the lowest price of the three at 2,090 SAR, though it's currently a pre-order. If you want the most established ecosystem, the Bambu Lab A1 is the straightforward choice once it is back in stock at 2,700 SAR standalone (or 3,400 SAR as a combo) — see our guide on how AMS, CANVAS and SnapSwap compare for more on multicolor systems specifically. The Snapmaker U1 is the one to pick if 4-toolhead speed matters more to you than price, and it is in stock.
A note on pre-orders: the SparkX i7 is a pre-order item right now. If you order one, we'll confirm your order with you about a week before delivery, same as any other pre-order on the site.
