Buy a 3D Printer in Dammam, Al Khobar and Dhahran
Black Arrow 3D is based in Dammam, so the Eastern Province is home. This guide is for makers in Dammam, Al Khobar and Dhahran: how Gulf humidity affects printing, what local engineers and students buy, and how ordering works.
A Dammam-based store
Our workshop and team are in Dammam, under Black Arrow Venture (CR 7054542985). Every order in Saudi Arabia ships from here, and our 3D printed products are made here too. For Eastern Province customers that mainly means one thing: when you have a question about a printer, a filament or a print, you are talking to people who print in the same humid climate you do. Support is available in Arabic and English on WhatsApp at +966 56 022 4715.
Gulf humidity: the local challenge
Summer on the Gulf coast brings some of the most humid air in the Kingdom, and on many nights the humidity climbs very high. Filament suffers quickly:
- Opened PLA can start stringing within days if left on the printer in a humid room; PETG and TPU absorb moisture even faster.
- Nylon and other engineering materials are very sensitive to moisture and should be dried before every print and printed straight from a dry box.
- Keep spools sealed with desiccant, and dry them before long prints. Our stringing guide lists drying temperatures.
- Keep the printer in an air-conditioned room. Garages and balconies are the worst places in summer.
Who buys 3D printers in the Eastern Province
The Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran area has a strong engineering community. Typical 3D printing users include students at universities such as King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) working on senior design and research projects, engineers in the energy and industrial sectors who prototype parts and tools, and makers and small businesses selling gifts, decor and accessories.
Typical projects
- Prototypes: housings, brackets and fit-check models before machining or moulding.
- Jigs, fixtures and organisers: tool holders, cable guides and drilling templates for workshops.
- Senior design and robotics: chassis parts, sensor mounts and drone frames.
- Gifts and decor: lamps, controller stands and personalised keychains.
Printed parts are excellent for prototypes and light-duty tools, but they are not a replacement for certified parts in pressure, lifting or safety-critical equipment.
Which printer to choose
For engineers: an enclosed printer opens up tougher materials. The Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 (currently 3,050 SAR) has a 350 °C hardened steel nozzle and is rated for PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, PA and carbon-filled PLA, depending on settings. The Bambu Lab P2S Combo (currently 6,299 SAR) is an enclosed, fast printer for everyday production with multicolour printing through the AMS 2 Pro.
For workshops and labs: the Bambu Lab H2C (currently 15,990 SAR, available to pre-order) is a professional printer with a 350 °C hot end and a chamber that reaches up to 65 °C, built for engineering materials.
For students and beginners: the Bambu Lab A1 mini Combo (currently 2,699 SAR) is the easiest place to start. See the beginner’s guide and the full printer range.
Filament and spare parts
KINGROON PETG Basic (currently 59 SAR) is a good everyday engineering material: tougher and more heat resistant than PLA. Bambu Lab A1 series owners can find replacement hotends in accessories. Read which filament for which print before choosing materials for functional parts.
Delivery in Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran
Delivery terms are the same across Saudi Arabia. In-stock items ordered before 4 pm Saudi time, Sunday to Thursday, are dispatched the same day; otherwise on the next business day. Standard delivery takes 4–5 business days (30 SAR) and fast delivery 2–3 business days (50 SAR). Regular delivery is free on orders with 100 SAR or more of 3D printed items, or 3,000 SAR or more of printers. 3D printed items are made to order in 3–5 business days before shipping.
Payment and warranty
Pay by bank transfer, card (Visa, Mastercard, mada), Apple Pay, Tabby (4 payments) or Tamara. A pay-later service fee applies to some orders, such as printers and filament-only orders, and is shown at checkout. Printers carry the manufacturer’s warranty for defective products, and we help you with the claim process.
