Bambu Lab A1 mini: the compact starter

The A1 mini is a compact FDM printer with a 180 x 180 x 180 mm build volume, an all-metal hot end rated to 300 °C, an 80 °C bed and speeds up to 500 mm/s. It has automatic bed leveling, a filament run-out sensor, power-loss recovery and filament tangle detection, and connects over Wi-Fi. It prints PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA, weighs 5.5 kg and draws up to 150 W on 100–240 VAC input.

Who it is for: first-time owners, students and anyone printing keychains, small figures and desk items. The Combo adds the AMS lite for multi-color prints. Read our A1 mini Combo review.

Bambu Lab A1: more room, currently out of stock

The A1 offers a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, a 300 °C hot end, a 100 °C bed, 500 mm/s top speed and AMS Lite support for up to 4 colors. It is currently out of stock in both versions; the product page shows when it returns.

Who it is for: beginners who want a larger bed than the A1 mini for helmets, organisers and bigger models.

Bambu Lab A2L Combo: large-format, still easy

The A2L is the large-format member of the A-series. Its 330 x 320 x 325 mm build volume (about 34.3 liters) is more than double the A1’s. It keeps fully automatic calibration, including flow-dynamics calibration before each print, a quick-swap 0.4 mm nozzle (0.2 to 0.8 mm available), a built-in filament cutter and a touchscreen. The Combo includes the AMS lite for up to four colors or materials. Top speed is 500 mm/s with 10,000 mm/s² acceleration, a 300 °C hot end and an 80 °C bed. It is best suited to PLA, PETG and TPU; ABS and ASA are not recommended.

Who it is for: cosplay makers, home decor, bigger models and small businesses that print large items. Compare it in A1 vs A1 mini vs A2L.

Bambu Lab P2S Combo: enclosed daily production

The P2S is an enclosed, fast printer built for everyday production. It has a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, a 300 °C hot end, a 110 °C bed, 500 mm/s top speed and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration, and connects via Wi-Fi with Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio. It weighs 14.7 kg.

Who it is for: workshops, sellers and anyone running repeat orders who wants an enclosed machine. The Combo adds the AMS 2 Pro for multi-color printing.

Bambu Lab H2C: professional tier

The H2C is a professional-tier, enclosed printer with a 330 x 320 x 325 mm build volume, a 350 °C hot end, chamber temperatures up to 65 °C and a top speed of 1,000 mm/s. It handles PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PA and similar materials depending on settings, and weighs 32.5 kg. Multi-color and multi-material capability depends on configuration.

Who it is for: workshops, retailers and engineering users who need higher output and advanced materials. It is currently on pre-order at 15,990 SAR.

Combo vs standalone

A standalone printer prints one filament at a time. A Combo bundles the printer with an AMS unit that holds several spools and switches between them automatically, so you can print in multiple colors or materials and swap spools without unloading by hand. On current prices the AMS lite adds 1,000 SAR to the A1 mini (1,699 vs 2,699) and the AMS 2 Pro adds 1,900 SAR to the P2S (4,399 vs 6,299). Right now only the Combo versions of the A1 mini and P2S are in stock, and the A2L is sold as a Combo.

AMS lite vs AMS 2 Pro

  • AMS lite pairs with the A-series (A1 mini, A1, A2L). It supports up to 4 colors or materials with automatic spool switching.
  • AMS 2 Pro is the multi-color unit in the P2S Combo, the higher-tier option for the enclosed P-series.

The simple rule: the AMS unit follows the printer you choose. If you are unsure, read multi-color 3D printing explained or ask us on WhatsApp.
