Buy a 3D Printer in Qassim: Buraidah and Unaizah Guide
Qassim has dry air, very hot summers and some of the coldest winter nights in central Saudi Arabia. This guide helps buyers in Buraidah, Unaizah and the rest of the region choose a printer, set it up for the seasons and order with delivery.
Printing through Qassim’s seasons
Qassim’s climate is dry all year, which is good for filament. The challenge is temperature, which changes a lot between seasons:
- Summer: rooms without AC get very hot. Keep the printer in a cooled room so PLA does not soften in the hot end, and never leave spools in a car.
- Winter: nights can get cold, especially in unheated majlis rooms, storerooms and farm buildings. Cold air makes large parts cool unevenly and lift off the bed, and PETG and ABS crack between layers in drafts. Print in a room that stays comfortably warm, or use an enclosed printer.
- Dust: wipe the build plate with isopropyl alcohol and keep the printer covered when not in use.
If your first layers start failing in winter, our first-layer adhesion guide is the place to start.

What gets printed in Qassim
- Farm and workshop helpers: knobs, covers, cable clips, labels and tool holders. Use PETG for anything that sits outdoors; it handles sun and heat better than PLA.
- Displays for date and food businesses: stands, signs and tray dividers for shops and exhibitions.
- Student projects: robots, drone parts and prototype housings.
- Gifts: name keychains, lamps and decor for occasions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I print in an unheated room in a Qassim winter?
PLA usually still works, but large parts may lift and PETG or ABS may crack. A warmer room or an enclosed printer gives much better results.
Which filament should I use for parts on a farm?
PETG. It is tougher and handles sun and heat better than PLA. Do not use printed parts where failure could cause injury.
How long does delivery to Buraidah take?
