UPS Load-Bank Testing & Commissioning
A UPS nameplate states capacity; a load bank proves it. We test under real, controlled load before you rely on the system.
Why Load-Bank Testing Matters
A UPS can pass a basic power-on check and still fail to hold its rated capacity under real load — battery degradation, undersized cabling, or a marginal transfer switch often only show up once the system is actually loaded. Load-bank testing applies a controlled, adjustable load to the UPS and battery bank to confirm capacity and runtime match what the datasheet promises, rather than assuming it.
We run load-bank tests on new installations before handover, and on existing UPS systems as part of maintenance, warranty reviews, or before a facility goes live with a new critical load.
Load-Bank Testing & Commissioning Scope
- Controlled load-bank testing at partial and full rated capacity
- Runtime verification against the battery bank's expected capacity
- Transfer-switch and bypass behavior confirmed under load
- Commissioning documentation for new installations and warranty records
- Testing scheduled around your operations to avoid disrupting a live facility
Frequently Asked Questions
Is load-bank testing necessary if the UPS already passed a self-test?
A UPS's built-in self-test typically checks internal electronics, not real sustained output under full load. Load-bank testing is the only way to confirm the unit and its battery bank actually deliver the runtime and capacity you're relying on.
How long does a load-bank test take?
It depends on the UPS capacity and how much runtime we're verifying, but most tests are completed within a single scheduled visit. We plan testing around your operating hours so a live facility isn't disrupted.

Maintenance and support after handover
Our work does not end at commissioning. We keep your systems running with a maintenance plan built around your site.
1, 2 or 3-year maintenance contracts
Planned preventive maintenance visits, inspection and test reports, and recommendations, on a contract length that suits your site.
Emergency visits
Emergency call-outs are part of the maintenance contract and are handled with priority according to the criticality of your site.
One team for every system
We maintain every system we supply and install, and we can take over the maintenance of existing systems on your site.
Visit frequency, emergency arrangements and spare parts are agreed with each client based on the site and the systems covered.
