UPS Battery Replacement

Battery banks age faster than the UPS around them. We assess, size and replace VRLA or lithium-ion battery banks without touching the rest of your system.

Why UPS Batteries Need Replacing Before the UPS Itself

VRLA (sealed lead-acid) batteries typically last 3-5 years, shorter in hot battery rooms — heat is the single biggest factor shortening battery life in the Gulf climate. Lithium-ion batteries last considerably longer and tolerate heat better, but both chemistries eventually lose enough capacity that the UPS can no longer deliver its rated runtime, even though the UPS module itself is still working normally.

We test existing battery banks, confirm remaining capacity, and replace them with VRLA or lithium-ion batteries sized to your UPS and required runtime — including safe removal and disposal of the old batteries.

What's Included

Battery Replacement Scope

  • Battery bank testing to confirm actual remaining capacity before replacement
  • VRLA (sealed lead-acid) or lithium-ion replacement, matched to your existing UPS
  • Sizing to your required runtime, not just a like-for-like swap
  • Safe removal and disposal of old battery banks
  • Post-replacement load testing to confirm runtime before handover
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my UPS batteries need replacing?

The clearest sign is reduced runtime during an outage — if the UPS used to hold 20 minutes and now drops in 5, the batteries are the likely cause. We can also test battery health directly (internal resistance and capacity testing) without waiting for a failure to find out.

Can I switch from VRLA to lithium-ion when I replace my batteries?

In most cases, yes, provided the UPS itself supports it electrically. We check compatibility with your specific UPS model before recommending a switch — lithium-ion costs more upfront but lasts longer and handles heat better, which can make sense for battery rooms that run hot.

Maintenance and support after handover

Our work does not end at commissioning. We keep your systems running with a maintenance plan built around your site.

1, 2 or 3-year maintenance contracts

Planned preventive maintenance visits, inspection and test reports, and recommendations, on a contract length that suits your site.

Emergency visits

Emergency call-outs are part of the maintenance contract and are handled with priority according to the criticality of your site.

One team for every system

We maintain every system we supply and install, and we can take over the maintenance of existing systems on your site.

Visit frequency, emergency arrangements and spare parts are agreed with each client based on the site and the systems covered.
